About Us
The Arkansas Diabetes and Endocrinology Education Foundation (ADEEF) is a non-profit organization established by a group of Arkansas-based endocrinologists and health activists with a shared goal of promoting health and well-being among the people of Arkansas. Our primary mission is to gather and provide resources that will help healthcare providers in the state stay informed about the latest developments in diabetes and endocrinology. By fostering closer collaboration between primary care physicians and other medical specialists with endocrinologists, we aim to enhance patient care and ultimately promote better health outcomes for Arkansans. Our ultimate goal is to harness the resources of the state to advance public health initiatives.
The Arkansas Diabetes and Endocrinology Education Foundation recognizes the importance of relationships between healthcare providers and patients in achieving successful healthcare outcomes.
What We Do
Meaningful Work
Local Empowerment
Making Change Possible
We invite prominent national leaders and local endocrinology specialists and other specialist dealing with diabetes, obesity, and endocrinology to the healthcare community in Arkansas. This facilitates the dissemination of the latest advancements in disease management and treatment, empowering healthcare providers in Arkansas with the most up-to-date strategies.
Enhancing the relationship
Better relationship better outcome
Build and strengthen the interpersonal connections among endocrinologists, other specialists, and primary care providers by means of gatherings, workshops, and various communication channels.
Empower the Patients
Self care is powerful
We employ a combination of education, support, and resources to provide patients with accurate and easy-to-understand information on their condition, treatment options, and self-care strategies. We organize volunteers to have in-person consultations, disseminate brochures, videos, and online resources. Additionally, support groups and peer counseling are the target strategies to make patients feel less isolated and more confident in their ability to manage their health. Finally, providing patients with access to tools and technologies such as medication reminder apps, wearables, and telemedicine can help them stay on track with their self-care routine. By taking a holistic approach to patient care and providing resources to support self-care, we can help patients achieve better health outcomes and quality of life.
